While you are at eMusic you should check out the music of a guy you have something in common with, David Mead.
A fantastic singer/songwriter, and a very fine fellow indeed.
Funny, I first came across him when I was trying to secure davidmead.com many years back, but I've yet to hear a whole CD of his.
That's fair, I first came across you while looking for the music blog. I have since found several bits of interest in your blogs (new Coen Brothers, Free Rice, etc.) so I still visit. Weird how the lurking substructure of the blogosphere pops to the surface every once in a while, yes?
btw, David Mead the musician is not particularly ambient, I'd say he stands above his surroundings. I don't know your tolerances, but I'd compare him to a Neil Finn/Crowded House style. Another favorite of mine thats on eMusic is Admiral Twin. Melody driven Power pop.
